Mary Frank Fox, an ADVANCE Professor in the Ivan Allen College School of Public Policy, has been awarded the 2017 Faculty of the Year Award by the Georgia Tech Undergraduate Student Government Association (SGA). The award was presented during a ceremony at the SGA Banquet on April 25, 2017.
The citation for the award recognizes:
“Dr. Fox is a continued champion for progress at Georgia Tech. This is evident in the naming of Dr. Fox as the 2016 Gender Equity Champion for her work as a pioneer in gender in science studies. Her continued dedication to students is clear in her classes, her availability for consultation, and her ongoing research laboratory, where she employs and mentors undergraduate students. Dr. Fox is known throughout the campus as an innovative professional who raises expectations of what a Georgia Tech professor is.”
