Amy D’Unger, the associate director of undergraduate studies in the Ivan Allen College School of History and Sociology, has received the Class of 1934 Undergraduate Educator Award. She was formally recognized at the Faculty and Staff Honors Luncheon on April 21, 2017.
In addition to receiving a certificate, D’Unger gains the distinction of being the first recipient from the Ivan Allen College. Previously, this award has gone almost exclusively to scientists and mathematicians teaching large lecture courses.
D’Unger teaches several introductory and upper level courses in sociology, and she mentors many HSOC undergraduates.
