There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. Los Angeles Times talked to Beth Mynatt about different monitoring systems like assisted living and GrandCare System for people with disorders like seizure disorders. "Both of these devices are designed to make the senior who is living alone feel less isolated and reassure their children that they're OK," says Elizabeth D. Mynatt, a computer scientist at Georgia Tech who helped develop the tools.
