There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. The 2011 High School Math Competition will take place on Saturday, 19 February 2011, on the Georgia Tech campus in Atlanta, Georgia. As a brief overview, the HSMC is open to all high school students, with parallel tracks for Junior-Varsity (7th, 8th, 9th and 10th grades) and Varsity (11th and 12th grades) competitors. A ninety-minute multiple-choice test will be used to choose semi-finalists and finalists, who will later take a written examination that emphasizes the logical steps of proof-based solution in addition to problem solving.
