There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Georgia Tech Emergency Preparedness is advising the campus community to be aware of the likelihood of severe weather — including high winds and the possibility of hail or isolated tornadoes — later this morning and afternoon.

In the event of a tornado warning, Emergency Preparedness will inform campus by activating a GTENS alert and using its outdoor siren system.

Students, faculty and staff are advised to check the weather before walking across campus or leaving a building. Should you need to shelter in place, seek a windowless/interior room on the lowest level of your building.

Real-time updates will be posted at https://twitter.com/gtpdalerts. To subscribe to hazardous weather alerts by email, visit http://www.police.gatech.edu/weather.htm.
