No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Take time out of your day to honor a man who survived one of the worst genocides in history and graduated from one of the finest universities in the country.
Benjamin Hirsch was born in Frankfurt, Germany in 1932. Hirsch survived the Holocaust then moved through France one step ahead of advancing Nazi forces.
He managed to escape to Atlanta in 1941 and has been here ever since. In 1958, Benjamin Hirsch graduated from Georgia Tech as an architect and practiced with a firm that designed commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential projects locally and nationally.
These stories are imperative to hear as this country continues to face antisemitism in 2017. Let's show him that Georgia Tech will not tolerate hate.
