Cultivating Allyship for Survivors of Sexual Violence: A Workshop and Discussion on Creating a Survivor Supportive Campus

April 6, 6:30-8pm, Marcus Nanotechnology Building Room 1116

We often have questions about how to best support people who have experienced sexual violence. What do we say? What do we not say? How can we build trust and create a survivor-supportive community?

This workshop will address common questions, challenges, and best practices for directly and indirectly supporting survivors of sexual violence. In particular, we will focus on the best ways to respond sensitively and effectively to the survivors we know and ways we can be an allies to those we don’t yet know.
