Think Beyond with Campus Sustainability The inaugural Strategic Plan for Sustainable Practice lays out the long-term vision and goals that will guide sustainability efforts on campus for the next 10 years. This effort will reinforce and grow Georgia Tech‘s leadership, excellence, and performance in the field of sustainability by addressing the following critical areas:
“We are excited about this next step of sustainability at Tech,” says Anne Rogers, associate director of the Office of Campus Sustainability. “Our goal is that the sustainable choice on campus will be the easiest choice for our students, faculty, and staff. This milestone plan will be our roadmap to elevate our already-existing sustainable principles, programs, and projects into an intentional campuswide commitment, and accelerate our aspirations moving forward.”
The office wants feedback on this plan. So, to engage the campus community, it will host an Open House on Wednesday, April 5, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., at the Bill Moore Student Success Center in the President’s Suites. There will be discussion about the Strategic Plan for Sustainable Practice, and Steve Swant, executive vice president for Administration & Finance, will be on hand to discuss Georgia Tech’s commitment to sustainability. Attendees will also have a chance to ask questions, share thoughts, and engage in activities such as recording a video message and creating a campus wish list for sustainability. Those interested in attending should RSVP here.
Staff, faculty, and students are also invited to share their input on the Strategic Plan for Sustainable Practice by completing a short survey. The survey deadline is April 21. All survey participants will be entered into a raffle to win prizes from the Office of Campus Sustainability.
