General Philip Breedlove, a distinguished professor in the Ivan Allen College Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, testified before the Senate Armed Services Committee about U.S. Policy and Strategy in Europe on March 21, 2017. In his testimony, he discussed U.S.-Russian relations.
“A dialogue with Moscow is possible. So too is cooperation. If the Kremlin is ready to work with us against Daesh or to improve the Iranian nuclear deal, we should be ready,” Breedlove said.
“But we should not be shy or hesitant about defending our interests when we are under challenge from the Kremlin. A policy of strength requires nothing less,” he added.
