Deadline for FSU Summer Pre-Law Program

Deadline

The deadline for the Donald J. Weidner Summer for Undergraduates Program is Friday, March 24.  

What is the program?

This program on Florida State Law’s campus has been in existence since 1992 and  nearly 1200 college students have “experienced law behind the scenes.”  This program brings to campus undergraduate students from throughout the country for a month-long immersion into legal study. The largest and oldest of its kind, the primary goal of the program is to acquaint students with the study of law and to assist them in acquiring skills that will benefit their undergraduate and future law school studies.

If selected, you will take daily law classes taught by Florida State law professors, attend academic and professional development workshops, enjoy field trips to area courts and law firms, and network with dozens of legal professionals during the four-week program.

When is the program?

May 15-June 8, 2017

Application & Selection 

The application process simulates that for law school admissions, requiring a resume, letter of recommendation, and personal statement, in addition to the online application.  The program does not stipulate a particular major/minor or minimum academic credentials; ALL are welcome to apply.

Cost

There is no fee to apply or program expenses, except transportation to and from Tallahassee (for which you receive a $500 stipend at the end of the program).
