Shatakshee Dhongde, an assistant professor in the Ivan Allen College School of Economics, has been selected by the Georgia Tech Faculty Honors Committee as one of two recipients of the 2017 Junior Faculty Outstanding Undergraduate Research Mentor Award. 

Dhongde serves as a research mentor for 20 students, including two recipients of President’s Undergraduate Research Awards (PURA). The Faculty Honors Committee received several letters of recommendation from Dhongde’s students underscoring her commitment to mentorship through research. 

Dhongde will receive the award at the 2017 Faculty and Staff Honors Luncheon, which will be held on April 21, 2017.
