Monday, March 6

  • What: Open Mic Night          
  • When: 7:30 – 10 p.m.
  • Where: Under the Couch

Express yourself during Open Mic Night at Under the Couch. Anyone can sign up to perform songs, poetry, stand-up, or other performances. Sign-ups begin at 7:30 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. If you’re busy this night, check out future open mic nights on March 13 and 17 or April 3, 10, and 17.

Tuesday, March 7

  • What: Blood Drive     
  • When: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.         
  • Where: Rooms 320 and 321, Student Center

The Biomedical Engineering Society at Georgia Tech is hosting a blood drive with the American Red Cross. Schedule an appointment here using the code “gatech” to locate the correct drive.

Wednesday, March 8

The Campus Recreation Center hosts Health Check Services on March 8 and 9. Health Check offers a health screening program that brings professional medical staff and services to you. Services include: lipid profile, metabolic profile, thyroid check, complete blood count, and physician review. Cost is $40. Register here.

Thursday, March 9

From March 8 – 15, Tau Beta Pi is hosting events for Engineers Week at Georgia Tech. All students are welcome to attend these events. At this event, students will launch their designed paper airplanes from the bridge between the College of Competing and Klaus. All supplies will be provided and the winner will receive a small prize.  

Friday, March 10

Join the Georgia Tech Chamber Choir for an evening of student-led music. Members of the Chamber Choir have pitched their favorite pieces to the group to organize this event, which will include popular crowd-pleasers as well as traditional choral music. Admission is free.

Saturday, March 11

The Georgia Tech Leadership Conference is an annual convergence of student leaders, hosted by the Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Honor Society. The theme for this year’s conference is “Leading for Good: Becoming a Servant Leader.” The conference includes guest speakers, breakout sessions, and workshops. Attire for the event is business formal. Registration is $15 and includes lunch, giveaways, and the opportunity to take a professional headshot. Register here.

Sunday, March 12

Join Atlanta’s French-speaking community and friends for fun, food, and entertainment. The Francophones and Friends Annual Family Picnic will be hosted by Francophonie Atlanta as part of its Francophonie Festival. Francophonie Atlanta, a nonprofit organization, is a multi-cultural collaboration between French-speaking countries with consulates in Atlanta and francophone organizations. This year’s picnic will include French food and performances. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased here.
