There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. For many of our communicators on campus, social media may be just one item on a long list of things to do. But, this race can run a little more smoothly if you start out from the gates with the goal of putting out the best content available.
In this brown bag presentation, Steven Norris, Institute Communications's social media manager, will show us how to use photos, video, and live elements in specific ways to build meaningful engagement using the social media tools at your disposal.
Norris will provide an in-depth look at content themes that are proven to work well across Georgia Tech's social media platforms and what made them so engaging. He'll also demonstrate some of Georgia Tech's best posts and pictures from the past year and show opportunities where these content themes can be applied at other unit levels.
