Ivan Allen College honors Black History Month. Dean Sue V. Rosser introduces the program "Transforming the Curriculum: 21st Century Imperatives." The lecturers are Dr. Johnella Butler, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Spelman College in Atlanta and Dr. Beverly Guy-Sheftall, Director of the Women's Research & Resource Center at Spelman.

A noted scholar in African American literature, Dr. Butler is a pioneer in diversity and curriculum transformation, and a catalyst in merging ethnic and women
