No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. The society is open to any student regardless of major. Undergraduate students must complete a minimum of 12 semester hours (4 courses) in HTS, achieve a minimum GPA of 3.1 in HTS and a GPA of 3.0 or better overall. A maximum of 3 credit hours of online, transfer, or AP credits may be applied to the membership eligibility requirement. If you are interested, please contact the faculty advisor, Carla Gerona, cgerona3@hts.gatech.edu by Monday, March 7. You will need to send Dr. Gerona your name, home mailing address, and email as well as $50.00 (must be cash – preferable – or check payable to Carla Gerona).
The history honors society induction ceremony and banquet will take place during the History and Sociology Awards day on Thursday, April 13. Our invited speaker will be Charissa Threat from Spelman University. Please contact Dr. Gerona cgerona3@hsoc.gatech.edu by Friday March 3 if you would like to be initiated.
