There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Long known for its entrepreneurial attitude, Georgia Tech continues to seek ideas that help fulfill the goals and objectives as outlined in its strategic plan.
The Strategic Plan Advisory Group has announced a multi-level funding opportunity for students, staff, or faculty interested in bringing their idea to fruition. This request for proposals is part of an annual cycle, coinciding with fiscal year budgeting. The Advisory Group evaluates submitted concepts before making its recommendations to the Institute’s executive leadership team.
Examples of the concepts approved for funding during the last cycle include:
Anyone with an idea and the motivation to make it happen is invited to apply for funding. For the pre-proposal stage, a brief declaration of intent is all that is required. The deadline for a pre-proposal is Feb. 15. New funding for approved concepts will be available for the upcoming fiscal year on July 1, 2017. To review the request in its entirety, visit:
