No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. The Georgia Tech Faculty Women’s Club (GTFWC) will award five scholarships of $2,000 each for the 2017-18 academic year to qualified students. Applicants must be Georgia Tech undergraduates and have a parent or guardian as a permanent Tech employee. Applicants also must have completed at least one full semester at Tech; have an overall GPA of at least 2.75; and write a three page essay (1-2 pages total) describing his or her academic plans, involvement in extracurricular activities, and reasons for needing financial assistance.
Over the past 25 years, the GTFWC has awarded 153 scholarships totaling $126,050 to support undergraduates.
The deadline to apply is February 28, 2017; the scholarship committee will make its selections in March.
