Full Summary:
Jenny has been with the Aquatic Center at the CRC since 2014. She is part of a team that is responsible for scheduling, planning and helping run events at the Aquatic Center, which is a popular venue for local, national and international swim and dive events.
Jenny SterneckerIn Spring 2016, the Aquatic Center was the venue for the NCAA Division I Swimming & Diving Championships. Prior to the event, the CRC purchased a new scoreboard system for the Aquatic Center. Before the event, Jenny worked day and night to ensure the content was functioning on the new scoreboard system. This feat required a high level of technical skill, which included learning how to integrate images and videos. Even though the content was delivered last minute by the NCAA, Jenny was able to successfully convert and upload the images and videos for the event.
Additionally, Jenny oversaw the Make a Splash Tour event. This USA Swimming event brought elementary school swimmers and professional swimmers together for an immersive and interactive training experience. As a result of Jenny’s hard work, the USA Swimming team presented Georgia Tech with a $2,500.00 grant to b used to expand the CRC’s Lesson Program. These funds will specifically provide swim lessons to CEISMC camp participants who would otherwise not have an opportunity to learn how to swim.
