No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Ferst Drive is undergoing a number of improvements to the streetscape, sidewalks, pavement, lighting, and traffic flow. The latest update includes road paving which will require periodic lane closures along Dalney Street through the intersection of Hemphill Avenue. Paving work will begin this weekend.

Temporary lane closures will be in effect Saturday, Feb. 4, to Sunday, Feb. 5. Sidewalks will remain accessible, but pedestrians may be re-routed to cross the street in certain areas.

Those who will be on campus this weekend should allow for delays if passing through the center of campus or plan to find an alternate route to avoid construction. Drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians should take extra care as they traverse this area during the weekend.

When complete, Ferst Drive will have wider and safer sidewalks, LED streetlights, a new bus shelter, and enhanced crosswalks.
