The pre-graduate and pre-professional advising team has a number of upcoming workshops and special events to support students seeking careers in health, law, or K-12 teaching, or planning to apply to graduate school or for prestigious fellowships.

 

Pre-Law Advising is hosting a Georgia Law Schools Fair on February 21 in the Student Center’s Piedmont Room from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Students can meet with recruiters from the law schools in Georgia and LSAT preparation companies. They can also find out more about academic and organizations on campus related to the study of law. This free event is open to students at all levels. Students may direct questions to Susan Belmonte, GT’s pre-law advisor.

Pre-Health Advising has opportunities for students exploring careers related to health and for those in their third or fourth years who are preparing professional school applications:

Students can explore volunteer, internship, research, and employment possibilities at our third annual Pre-Health Opportunities Fair, Thursday, February 9, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Bill Moore Student Success Center.

Students planning to apply to professional school this summer should attend the Pre-Health Preparing to Apply Workshop, Thursday, February 9, from 5 – 6 p.m. in the Bill Moore Student Success Center, Press Room A.

The Fee Assistance Program for MCAT and School Applications is open. The financial barrier to register for the MCAT and then to apply to medical school is something that many students face. Students may seek reduced MCAT and application fees, but they must do so before they register for the MCAT.
