Ten members of the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts have been selected to receive the Class of 1940 Course Survey Teaching Effectiveness Award for the 2015 - 2016 academic year based on high scores from student evaluations.

The Class of 1940 distinction is one of several awards made annually by the Georgia Tech Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning (CETL) to instructors of small and large classes. It is based on the Course Instructor Opinion Surveys (CIOS) that were administered in the fall 2015 and spring 2016 semesters. A high response rate (85 percent or greater) and a near-perfect evaluation score are required for consideration.
The 10 faculty members from the Ivan Allen College are among the 40 selected for recognition throughout the Institute.
