Mock Trial Team Defends Championship at Seminole Smackdown Tournament

Georgia Tech’s Mock Trial (GTMT) “A” team finished in first place at the 2nd Annual Seminole Smackdown Invitational, which was held January 28 - 29 at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida.

The tournament included nationally competitive teams from Brown University, Millsaps College, and the University of Florida. Georgia Tech’s A team finished the weekend with a record of 6-2, winning the tournament for the second year in a row.

In addition to winning the tournament, the team was honored with the Spirit of American Mock Trial Association (AMTA) Award.

Mock Trial activities are situated within the Pre-Law Program in the Ivan Allen College School of Public Policy and overseen by program director Robert Pikowsky. The team is coached by attorneys Andy McNeil (Public Policy 2001) and Will Warihay.
