The Welcoming Project will award a $500 scholarship to one undergraduate student and a $500 scholarship to one graduate student who provide outstanding contributions to LGBTQ activism. In the past, we have received applications from LGBTQ activist students at universities in Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Russia (St. Petersburg). We are impressed with the caliber of students across the United States who are dedicated to LGBTQ activism and proud to offer these scholarships to support their work.
Applicants must be enrolled in degree-granting institutions in August 2017 and provide an outstanding contribution to LGBTQ activism. The award winners will be announced at our anniversary celebration in spring 2017.
Application Deadline is March 1, 2017.
