Full Summary: A one day orientation to the roles and expectations of students and teachers in the American classroom and effective communication techniques for Graduate TAs for International students.

The Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning (CETL) and the Georgia Tech Language Institute invite all International Graduate Teaching Assistants to participate in the International Teaching Assistant Orientation. All new international graduate teaching assistants who are new to the United States and who will be working as a TA in Fall 2010 and/or Spring 2011 should attend. Returning international graduate students, international faculty or post-docs are also invited to attend. Advanced registration is required to attend the orientation.

Note: New International Graduate Teaching Assistants should also attend the General Orientation for new TAs on Friday, August 20, 2010, 1:00 - 6:00 p.m.
