Moderator: Jon Duke, Center for Health Analytics and Informatics

Health research is a richly rewarding area and a superb opportunity for collaboration across disciplines.  But admittedly, working with health data can be pretty tricky. The Center for Health Analytics and Informatics is working on streamlining and advancing health data research at GT and GTRI. Growing our health initiative at Tech requires tackling logistical challenges such as data access and security, facilitating processes such as harmonization and phenotyping, incorporating novel methodologies from machine learning to NLP, and disseminating knowledge whether publications, applications, APIs, and so forth. At this Think Tank, we look forward to brainstorming together on the future of health analytics at Georgia Tech.

The Thursday Think Tank is a weekly gathering of the IPaT community to brainstorm about research and stay informed about the work that everyone is doing. This is an informal gathering where the moderator kicks off the weekly topic, but everyone is encouraged to join the discussion.
