Jennifer Clark, associate professor in the Ivan Allen College School of Public Policy and director of Georgia Tech’s Center for Urban Innovation, has been elected chair of the American Association of Geographers Economic Geography Specialty Group (EGSG) for the January 2017 to December 2018 term.

The  EGSG facilitates the exchange of information and ideas among its members and other specialists; stimulates research, teaching, and applications in industrial and economic geography; aids in the advancement of its members and the field of economic geography; and helps represent economic geography within the discipline of geography and to related disciplines, agencies in government, the private sector, and the general public.
