Georgia Tech students and alumni can join the pre-teaching email listserv to learn about recruitment events, info sessions, and other opportunities.

Pre-Law Advising
Did you know that you can work within intellectual property (IP) law and not have a law degree? IP is a field that has various career opportunities, only one of which is being an attorney. Patent agent, patent examiner, patent engineer, and technical specialist/advisor — these are examples of jobs that require a technical background but not a law degree. There are also career opportunities within IP for attorneys without technical backgrounds.
Georgia Tech students and alumni can join the pre-law email listserv to find out about upcoming events and learning opportunities.
Susan Belmonte, pre-law advisor, can answer questions and offer guidance to students and alumni who want to learn more. She can also add students to the listserv. Email sbelmonte@gatech.edu for assistance or more information.
