Brief Program Introduction:
The Fellow will serve as the project coordinator for Urban Lights, a publication highlighting the National Park Service’s (NPS) urban parks and programs across the country. The Fellow will help identify, capture, and package up stories that illustrate creative new approaches the NPS is taking to build relevance among urban Americans and create connections to urban areas.
As project coordinator, the Fellow will reach out to NPS staff and their partners to record their stories, assemble resources and materials they provide, and publish a cohesive collection of stories.
During the publication process, the Fellow will develop a marketing strategy, determining the most appropriate publication mediums to use in promoting these stories using print and online media.
In addition to collecting, assembling, and publishing content, the Fellow will be responsible for convening project team meetings, tracking and reporting project progress, and managing the project timeline to ensure completion by July 2017.
