The 2017 Staff Awards are well underway and the final submission deadline is swiftly approaching, Friday, Jan. 27. Celebrate a colleague’s year of exceptional work or a department’s meaningful achievement by nominating them for a staff award.
Designed to honor employees who align with the Institute’s vision and values, Georgia Tech’s Staff Awards are presented to those who consistently demonstrate high levels of performance and strategic thought.
There are three categories with a total of seven awards and monetary prizes ranging from $1,000 to $2,500: Administrative Excellence; Outstanding Management in Action; and Outstanding Staff Performance with five subcategories in Staff Leadership, Innovation, Process Improvement Excellence, Entrepreneurship, and Service to the Community.
Anyone may submit a nomination, but only full-time, permanent staff employed at the Institute for at least a year may receive an award. Nominations require three letters of recommendation used to highlight different aspects of the employee’s merit for the award. Submissions will be accepted until Friday, Jan. 27, at 5 p.m.
Award recipients are selected by a cross-functional campus committee and will be recognized at the Georgia Tech Faculty and Staff Awards Luncheon on April 27, 2017. Further information on the awards, nomination criteria and instructions can be found at www.ohr.gatech.edu/staffawards.
