Georgia Tech Pre-Teaching and the Office of International Education (OIE) have partnered to offer an undergraduate Pre-Teaching global internship in Asia!  Opportunities exist in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Singapore.

First Code Academy (FCA) is empowering Asia’s next generation to become creators of technology through teaching kids from age 6 to 18 about programming, design and entrepreneurship. Since 2013, they have taught 4,000+ students in various Asian cities and continue to expand their global presence.

FCA is looking for students who are passionate about software engineering, have experience in tutoring pre-teens or teens, and have an entrepreneurial & startup mindset.  You are not required to want to be a teacher as a career to apply for this internship, but you do have to be interested in teaching. Applicants must be fluent in a coding language.

In 2015/2016, 314 students applied from the best universities across the world, and only 26 were hired. This is a very competitive position. You could be one of the 2017 interns!

An internship is an excellent way to discover if teaching is a good career choice for you.  Interning abroad gives you the chance to travel, live in a different culture, and grow professionally and personally.

Internship options: June – August (summer), June – December (6 months) or June – May (one year).

Interns do not have to be U.S. citizens or Permanent Residents to apply for FCA.  Students should be aware that work visas may be required, and requirements/timelines for work visas may differ depending on citizenship.
