COLEGIO BILINGÜE NEW HORIZONS, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
Georgia Tech undergraduate students have the opportunity to participate in 6-12 month global internships in the Dominican Republic. Interns will be hosted by the Colegio Bilingüe New Horizons (New Horizons), a private and bilingual international school that offers all levels of education from toddlers through high school students across two campuses (Santo Domingo and Santiago). New Horizons follows the Spanish language curriculum of the Dominican Ministry of Education, and its English language program is equivalent to a college preparatory STEM-oriented high school program in the U.S. New Horizons is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. Interns must be native English speakers but are not required to speak Spanish, although knowledge of the language is a plus.

Many textbooks are digital, and homework, extra material and most assessments are accomplished using the platform Moodle. New Horizons has developed its own communication and grading system software to use with parents and students.
