Summary Sentence: Learn about the Greek community at Tech and how to be a part of it

Full Summary: Georgia Tech men! As part of your time here at the institute, we would like to inform you about the very unique Greek Community and how you can be a part of it!

Georgia Tech men! As part of your time here at the institute, we would like to inform you about the very unique Greek Community here at GT and how you can be a part of it! Greek life is 25% of the Tech student population and the Interfraternity Council, or IFC, is the largest Greek Council within that community. Our council governs 32 inter/national fraternity chapters here at Tech! Whether or not you think fraternity life is for you, we encourage you to come out and find out about our community here at Tech for yourself. Here are some highlights: the overall IFC GPA is higher than that of non-Greek students, the Greek community logged close to 70,000 hours of community service last year and raised over $514,000 philanthropic dollars, and our retention/graduation rates are higher than that of non-Greek students.

So, our chapters would love to meet you! There is no obligation to join by attending an event. Here are some details: IFC Fraternity Rush/Recruitment will take place from January 17th-20th, 7pm-10pm each night. We highly recommend you attend the kickoff meeting where we will go over the basics of the recruitment process, which houses are participating in Spring recruitment, and give you more insight to Greek life at Tech. Formal recruitment, events at the houses, will begin immediately afterwards. Registration for rush is required, and can be completed at https://orgsync.com/136187/forms/235884. We hope that you consider making our Greek life a part of your Tech experience!

Rush Schedule:

  • Kickoff Meeting: January 17 @ 6PM, Klaus 1443
  • Formal Rush Period: January 17-20 @ 7-10PM, All IFC Chapters

Information about benefits of Greek life, individual chapters, and how rush/recruitment works can be found in advance in the Guide to Greek Life (please note the dates in the guide are for last fall). More information can also be found on the IFC website: fraternity.gatech.edu
