Ivan Allen College School of Public Policy doctoral students Seokbeom Kwon and Seokkyun Joshua Woo have been awarded a prestigious joint fellowship from the Science and Technology Policy Institute (STEPI) of Korea.
As part of this fellowship, Kwon and Woo will complete research on the topic: “Do industries’ absorptive capacities matter when adopting stronger IPR policy? Evidence from the 1986 South Korean IPR Reform.”
Kwon, a third-year doctoral student, is undertaking dissertation research on the market for patents. Woo is a first-year public policy doctoral student. Both are graduate research assistants with the Georgia Tech Program in Science and Technology Policy.
