School of Public Policy doctoral students Seokkyun Joshua Woo (left) and Seokbeom Kwon (right) Ivan Allen College School of Public Policy doctoral students Seokbeom Kwon and Seokkyun Joshua Woo have been awarded a prestigious joint fellowship from the Science and Technology Policy Institute (STEPI) of Korea.
As part of this fellowship, Kwon and Woo will complete research on the topic: “Do industries’ absorptive capacities matter when adopting stronger IPR policy? Evidence from the 1986 South Korean IPR Reform.”
Kwon, a third-year doctoral student, is undertaking dissertation research on the market for patents. Woo is a first-year public policy doctoral student. Both are graduate research assistants with the Georgia Tech Program in Science and Technology Policy.
