The Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts is once again sponsoring Georgia Tech’s annual commemoration of the life and work of Martin Luther King, Jr. This year’s celebration, entitled Setting the Agenda for the Next Civil Rights Movement, runs from January 11 - 31 and will feature lectures, performances, and service projects.
As part of the celebration, the Office of Diversity Programs will provide 70 students and 30 faculty with the opportunity to tour civil rights sites in Washington, D.C. Participants will visit the National Museum of African American History and Culture, the National Mall, and other historic sites. The tour costs $100 for students and $150 for faculty, and the fee includes a two-night stay with breakfast, charter bus service, and tickets to selected venues. Students and faculty may register at www.diversityprograms.gatech.edu.
