The essay follows traces of Weimar Republic and Third Reich medievalism in open air pageants in the Upper Palatinate (Oberpfalz) region in Bavaria. Richard Utz is Chair and Professor in the School of Literature, Media, and Communication at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
