No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. The Center for Research and Education on Aging and Technology Enhancement (CREATE) is hosting a two day workshop on “Health Care Technologies for Older Adults: Design, Adoption, Implementation and Training Issues” on February 23-24, 2017 in Miami, Florida.
The focus of this workshop is to bring together representatives from companies, organizations, universities, large and small, who are involved in the healthcare industry, healthcare product development or research who have an interest in meeting the needs of older adults.
CREATE is a consortium of the University of Miami, Florida State University and the Georgia Institute of Technology, and is supported by the National Institutes of Health (National Institute on Aging). The focus of CREATE is on making technology more useful to and usable by older adults. CREATE is the first group to receive the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society’s Jack A. Kraft Award for Innovation since its inception more than four decades ago. The award recognizes the CREATE team for its significant social impact on technology advancements for aging populations.
