Who can submit? Graduate students enrolled in Ivan Allen College Liberal Arts graduate courses are eligible to submit abstracts to present papers at the fourth annual IAC graduate student conference, scheduled for Friday, January 27, 2017, 10am-5pm, in Room 102 of the Stephen C. Hall Building (215 Bobby Dodd), OR present posters at the Career Research and Innovation Development Conference (CRIDC) poster sessions in February 9, 2017, in the Student Center.

Who can attend the conferences? All faculty, staff, and students at Georgia Tech and guests are welcome to attend the IAC Graduate Student Paper Conference on January 27, 2017, and the CRIDC poster session in February. Each Ivan Allen College Graduate Student may submit either a poster or a paper but not both.

Where do I submit an abstract for the CRIDC poster presentation on February 9th? (Deadline TBD) Submit 250-word abstract for February 9, 2017, CRIDC conference: http://sga.gatech.edu/g/cridc-2017/

When are abstracts for IAC paper presentations due?—Deadline: December 6, 2016 Graduate students can submit 200-250 word abstracts of presentations for the IAC Graduate Student conference on Friday, January 27, 2017, to the same CRIDC website: http://sga.gatech.edu/g/cridc-2017/

When are full (15-page) papers competing for prizes due?—Deadline: January 1, 2017 Between December 6, 2016, and January 1, 2017, graduate students enrolled in Ivan Allen College programs who have submitted abstracts can submit complete papers as pdf or Word attachments to Mario Bianchini (mbianchini6@gatech.edu). The maximum number of pages for each paper (including argument, notes, figures, and bibliography) is 15 pages. Papers submitted by January 1, 2017, will be evaluated by Ivan Allen College faculty judges.

What is the format for the January 27 th IAC Graduate Student Conference? Presentations (based on abstracts submitted on December 6th), will be scheduled as papers on panels OR as roundtable presentations during the January 27, 2017, conference. The Ivan Allen Graduate Student Advisory Board members will review abstracts and organize the schedule for the January 27th conference. Graduate students can volunteer as session chairs and/or respondents to carol.colatrella@lmc.gatech.edu. Presenters who have professional obligations that prevent their attendance may be able to videotape their papers in advance for showing at the conference.

When is the CRIDC Awards Ceremony?: Authors of the top three papers submitted by January 1, 2017, will each receive up to $1500 in travel funds, which will be awarded by Dean Jacqueline Royster, Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts, at the CRIDC awards ceremony on February 9, 2017.
