Tips for Reserving Classroom Space

*********************************
There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

The Classroom Space for Spring 2017 reservation portal, gtevents.gatech.edu, will go live on the Campus Reservation System on December 1. Planners can begin reserving space for Summer 2017, beginning April 1, 2017. Fall 2017 reservations begin August 1, 2017.

When you are ready to submit your request for classroom space, make sure you are submitting the correct form. After you log into the Georgia Tech Events Reservation System, go to “Request Space” on the top menu bar. Faculty, staff and students will have different request options depending on their classification.

For faculty and staff:

  • Request Classroom Space (Available AS IS only)

For Chartered Student Organizations:

  • Chartered Student Group - Request Classroom Space

When you select a reservation request form, read the information about the space you are about to request. This will help you better prepare for your event and minimize any surprises.

Be sure your department or student organization is listed on the request form where it says “Group,” and make sure your name is listed where it says “First Contact.” Also, check that your email and phone number are correct. This helps ensure that you are notified of any updates in a timely manner.

Food is allowed in classroom spaces, but you must remember to check “yes” if you are having food. Refer to the Food in Classroom Policy for more details.
