The Commission on Pollution, Health and Development is an initiative of The Lancet, the Global Alliance on Health and Pollution (GAHP), and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. The Commission comprises many of the world's most influential leaders, researchers and practitioners in the fields of pollution management, environmental health and sustainable development. The aim of the Commission is to communicate the extraordinary health and economic costs of pollution globally, providing actionable solutions to policy-makers and dispelling the myth of pollution's inevitability. The Commission Report will be published in The Lancet in first quarter 2017.
Intern responsibilities:
1. Commission Outreach - Support the outreach work of the Commission on Pollution, Health and Development
2. Support and assist in the launch of the Health and Pollution Planning Process creating a roadmap for countries to address, control and remediate priority pollution problems.
20 hours a week , $12 per hour
November 2016 start, Duration 6 months
Foreign language skills preferred.
