Full Summary: No summary paragraph submitted.

Thursday, November 10 - Instrumenting Buildings as Living Labs

Moderators:

Matt Sanders, Co-director, Georgia Tech Research Network Operations Center (GT-RNOC)

Dennis Shelden, Associate Professor, Georgia Tech School of Architecture

Matt Sanders and Dennis Shelden will moderate a brainstorming session on instrumenting buildings as Living Labs. Questions to consider include:

  • What types of research do we envision?
  • What kind of data do we want to collect?
  • What types of industry partners would be interested?
  • What other capabilities do we need to effectively do research projects?

This conversation is a starting point to inform the development of the operational model for buildings, including those being designed today.

The Thursday Think Tank is a weekly gathering of the IPaT community to brainstorm about research and stay informed about the work that everyone is doing. This is an informal gathering where the moderator kicks off the weekly topic, but everyone is encouraged to join the discussion.
