On October 22nd, the Office of International Education had a team participate in the annual Homecoming Team Buzz. Our team was made up of OIE staff, international students, and GT students who have studied abroad. We woke up bright and early to meet up at the Campanile and enjoy a warm breakfast before we got to work.
OIE was assigned to the Jerusalem House along with the GT Young Alumni Association. 46 people participated, and OIE had 22 students and 4 staff members attend. The Jerusalem House works to provide housing and healthcare for low-income and homeless individuals and families around Atlanta. For two hours we helped the Jerusalem House with landscaping and cleaning: mulching, cutting bushes, raking leaves, cleaning the kitchen, and washing windows.
