Brian Lehman
Senior Vice President of U.S. Sales
Arrhythmia Therapies, EP and CRM
St. Jude Medical
How I leveraged my engineering degree and experience at Georgia Tech to become the VP of Sales
Bio: Brian Lehman was named SVP of U.S. Sales, Arrhythmia Therapies, EP and CRM in June 2016. He leads the U.S. sales force for St. Jude Medical’s largest businesses – the cardiac rhythm management and atrial fibrillation divisions – which have net annual revenues of $1.84B in sales and approximately 1,500 sales employees.
Mr. Lehman joined St. Jude Medical in 2006 as territory manager and held various positions in marketing and market development before becoming vice president of global marketing. In that role, he had responsibility for leading the end-to-end global marketing process for the arrhythmia therapies division. This included assessing market dynamics; developing sales-enablement strategies, tools and payment paradigms; influencing cross-functional internal stakeholders to drive alignment and execution; and growing customer advocacy for SJM therapies by developing markets and KOL relationships.
Prior to joining St. Jude Medical, Mr. Lehman spent five years with GE Healthcare, where he quickly progressed within the sales organization from their diagnostic imaging leadership program to regional cardiology account manager within the cardiovascular division. Mr. Lehman also has experience working at Cisco Systems, BellSouth, a Department of Defense contractor as an engineering draftsman, and as an independent consultant in industrial robotics and process improvement.
Mr. Lehman holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Additionally, he graduated from the General Electric leadership program, is a Certified Cardiac Device Specialist by the International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE), and has received numerous prestigious sales performance awards.
Mr. Lehman resides in Austin, Texas with his wife, Stacey, daughters, Blaine and Rowan, and their dog, Mooki.
