Full Summary: Come and get a taste of Africa and more! You're invited to attend a rich, cultural affair with food, music, dances, and fashion!

The Georgia Tech African Student Association is proud to present Taste of Africa: Mama Africa and Her Diaspora! Taste of Africa is our annual cultural showcase, and this year, not only are we celebrating African culture, but we are also celebrating the influence of our culture in the Caribbean and America.

The evening will start off with a wonderful dinner in the Student Center Ballroom at 5:00pm where you will have the opportunity to experience popular African dishes, and because of the theme this year, we're excited to have Caribbean and soul food as well!

Following the dinner, we have the show at the Ferst Center Theater at 7:00pm. There will be a variety of performances such as skits, dances, songs, and spoken word to celebrate who we are and how we're all connected! And you definitely don't want to miss the high-energy fashion show we have planned!

Tickets are only $7 and $10 at the door.

We will be selling tickets in the Student Center the following days, so listen for African music!

  • October 25 & 27 (11:00am - 2:00pm)
  • October 31 - November 5 (11:00am - 3:00pm)

Online tickets can also be bought here until Sunday, Nov. 6, at noon.
