There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Do cyborgs really need to eat? Granted, there’s no practical way to answer this question at the moment, but with robotics technology improving rapidly each year, the question of fuel sources is a fascinating one. Is organic fuel for cyborgs a necessity? Couldn’t they just power up throughout the day by plugging in a USB or a charger? Ayanna Howard was one of the scientists game enough to lend their knowledge and experience to speculate on this topic; she is the Linda J. and Mark C. Smith Chair Professor in the Georgia Tech School of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
