As festival-goers prepare to descend on Tech Square for Taste of Atlanta this weekend, the campus community should prepare for traffic alterations and street closures.
Some lane closures begin today, but Fifth Street will be completely closed in Tech Square beginning Thursday, Oct. 20, at 6 a.m. In addition, transit service and access to Tech Square parking decks (E81 and E82) will also be affected beginning Thursday. The Tech Trolley will be rerouted along 10th and Fowler Streets. View a complete list of traffic operations. Streets will be reopened by Monday, Oct. 24, at 6 a.m.
On Sunday Oct. 23, travel near campus will also be affected by Atlanta Streets Alive, which takes place along Peachtree Street from Five Points MARTA Station to 17th Street. The free festival is sponsored by the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition and takes place from 2 to 6 p.m.
