Looking for something fun, exciting, and rewarding to do for the K-12 students of Georgia? Georgia Tech is once again co-sponsoring the 3rd Annual GA Gravity Games (Soap Box Derby) to be held in Douglasville, GA on Saturday, October 22, 2016. Volunteers are needed to assist on race day with safety inspections and design judging. Last year was great fun and over 20 teams are already registered.
New to the Georgia Gravity Games this year is the opportunity for teams to submit a “Gravity Racing Video.” Teams are encouraged to submit a creative and informative YouTube video explaining what they’ve learned about Science, Technology, Engineering and Math while building and setting up their cars. Videos must be submitted by Friday, October 14 and will be judged by the Judging Committee, with the winner announced following the race. To learn more about this new category visit http://www.gagravitygames.com/rules.
If you have any questions leading up to the Games, don’t hesitate to reach out by emailing contact@gagravitygames.com or visiting our website: www.gagravitygames.com.
Contact Chris Thompson at chris.thompson@ceismc.gatech.edu or 404-385-2421 if you are interested. Official Google t-shirts provided! Ride-sharing to/from Douglasville is available if needed.
