Full Summary: No summary paragraph submitted.

The Office of Global Human Resources and Office of International Education will facilitate a 1/2 day (1-5pm) basic training for Human Resources Administrators housed in academic and administrative units who support foreign nationals. The training will provide an overview of:
1) the primary visa types available to employees, affiliates, or invited visitors to Tech (B, F, J, H, TN and O) as well as context about the U.S. government agencies involved, 2) the information HR administrators must have prior to beginning any visa request, 3) the basic steps involved to invite a visitor, host an affiliate or hire an employee who is a foreign national, 4) the responsibilities supervisors and HR administrators have to assist GHR and OIE with
ensuring compliance. We hope to demystify often complex processes in an effort to help HR administrators feel more confident in assisting foreign nationals with immigration and visa related needs and more aware of compliance considerations and expectations. We encourage both seasoned HR administrators and those new to their role to attend. Participants will be provided handouts and resource materials. We will also review case studies and leave time for questions.
