There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Primarily a cratered surface, the dwarf planet Ceres nevertheless has unusual features. The best known are unusual bright spots and a lone mountain. Less well-known are the landslides, which have been modifying Ceres's surface across all latitudes and displaying myriad morphologies.

Heather Chilton is a Ph.D. student working under the supervision of Britney Schmidt in Georgia Tech's School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences. She will discuss findings from studies of the main types of landslides on Ceres and the role of ground ice in their formation.
