There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. A Home for the Holidays was started in 2014 by the Student Government Association when we realized that a lot of international students aren’t able to travel home over the short Thanksgiving break. In order to build a stronger GT community, this program was designed to provide international students the opportunity to experience the Thanksgiving holiday - for many, for the first time - in a local family’s home.
We are matching these students with other members of the Tech community for the Thanksgiving holiday! Students will go to the host’s home on Thursday, November 24, 2016 to share a Thanksgiving meal.
Last year, we were able to pair 87 students with 55 hosts as a part of the program. With your involvement in the College of Liberal Arts, we were hoping you would be able to help us grow that number by sending this message to any students, faculty, and staff you work with. The forms to participate are linked below.
If you would like to host a student, please submit the form below:
If you are an international student looking to be paired, please submit the form below:

Check out some of the publicity the program got last year!
Please apply by November 4, 2016! If you have any questions, please e-mail gtahomefortheholidays@gmail.com. You will be notified if you have been matched the first week of November!
