Senior lecturer Monica Sweat has been appointed associate director of the Division of Computing Instruction (DCI) in the College of Computing at Georgia Tech.
In this position, Sweat will help oversee undergraduate teaching assistant hiring and training, course content control, lecturer scheduling and training, and development.
Sweat is a graduate of the University of Florida and has been a lecturer and senior lecturer in the College of Computing for 16 years.
In this position, she will report to DCI director Bill Leahy.
“Monica is someone who has improved the foundation of every course she has been responsible for,” Leahy said. “They are well-structured, she has tremendous organizational skills, and she is fantastic with her teaching assistants. Every course Monica teaches she leaves in better shape than when she got there.”
